What people are saying about the LIBRARY:
St. Laurence Library is a Blessing to us! by Marta Alves
When I was 12 years old, in Communist Cuba, I imagined heaven like a gigantic library. At that time, in Cuba, there were no libraries or book stores. Everything that was available was communist. It denied the existence of God.
Today, 59 years later, we are blessed at Saint Laurence to have a Catholic Library!
What is the purpose of our library: We have faith and it grows as we learn about it. Our literature, our books are a treasure to be read and absorbed as we reflect on their message of grace and peace.
The Library is a tremendous well of grace available to anyone in the parish. We need guidance in life. A book can guide us in the way of peace. Think of a book that impacted your life? Go to our library, another book just like that may be waiting for you to “pick up and read”.
Through the years, Susan Mule has been a great help in sharing the treasure we have in the library.
Do not wait another day. Stop by the library and talk to Susan about what book to read this summer. You may be amazed at the impact that book may have in your life. My recommendation is to start with the Bible. The library is a blessing to us all!
