Saint Name

Your Confirmation Name is the name that the bishop will call you when you receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Most people choose a different name than their own, usually the name of a saint, to symbolize their “new life in Christ.” (Genesis 17:5; Genesis 17:15; Genesis 32:28; Numbers 13:16; Matthew 16:18; Acts 13:9) This saint then also becomes an example of how you can better follow Jesus Christ in your own life.
Or you are welcome to choose your current name, which was the name that you were baptized with.
