Fr. Truong Son Cao Nguyen

Ordination: June 3, 2017

Born in Vietnam, Rev. Truong Son Cao Nguyen is the youngest of seven children in a Catholic family. He was raised in Houston and has lived here for the past 27 years. He attended Catholic schools from 3rd-8th grade and the remaining grades in public school.  He found his vocation to the priesthood toward the end of his college years at the University of Houston. He entered the seminary after a short year of teaching at St. Pius V. He feels God has blessed and challenged him in life, yet so far, it has all been for his Greater Glory. "I feel very blessed to be his instrument as a priest," says Fr. Truong Son.  St. Laurence is his first assignment and he feels welcome here. In his free time, he likes to play sports and attend outdoor events. He loves all sports and is willing to try new ones if invited. His favorite sports are basketball, tennis, and swimming. However, in his free time, he enjoys fishing and recently picked up hunting. Please pray for all priests that we become good servants of God.
