Reverend John T. Weyer Council 11343

The Rev. John T. Weyer Council 11343 annual essay contest is now open!  There are 2 different contests.  One is open to all 8th Graders from St. Laurence Parish (not just the school) who will be attending one of the Houston area Catholic High Schools for the first time in the fall of 2023.  The other is for high school seniors from St. Laurence Parish who will be attending college for the first time in the summer or fall of 2023.  Essays are due April 16, 2023 by email to [email protected].  To find out more about these contests and how to enter, visit the Knight's Essay Scholarship Contest page.

Congratulations to Fr. Drew for winning Outstanding Clergy of the Year for 2023 at the Galveston/Houston Knights of Columbus Clergy Appreciation Night.  This award is only awarded to a few clergy each year and the Knights at Council 11343 are extremely excited that Fr. Drew was awarded it this year.
