I enjoy quiet time just with Jesus, sometimes talking to him and other times hoping to hear Him speak to me. Vladimir Amiouny
I know Jesus is there. I want to Adore Him, Praise Him, give Thanksgiving, make Supplications, and tell Him that I Love Him. Argie Jimenez
I go to Adoration because I want to be intentional with my time with the Lord. I can give
Him an hour of my time every week so I can thank Him for the grace, blessings, and
wonder I have experienced the other 167 hours. It also allows me an hour of quiet time to recenter and regroupfor the week ahead. This spring I am signed up right before Mass
which allows an hour to prepare for the celebration of mass. Lauren Newton
I go to Adoration because I love dedicating an entire hour a week to being with Jesus in the Chapel. It’s almost a selfish indulgence on my part. Sitting in the quiet, letting Holy Spirit wash over me, praying, conversing, contemplating & reading in the presence of the Lord. It silences the noise and distractions in my head and helps me open my heart and mind to Jesus. It gives me peace which is so endearing that I walk away feeling privileged and loved. Pat Martin
I go to Adoration to meet and adore my Savior and King Jesus Christ. I also go to Adoration to surrender all my concerns and prayers to Him, Jesus my Friend and Lord. Moreover , I go to Adoration to resource myself with the strength and assurance from my Lord and have a peace moment with the King of Kings, my Lord Jesus because I know and I believe that everything comes from Him and without Him, I am nothing and I am lost. Amen. Christelle Kamssu
With Jesus right in front of me, adoration is where I hear Him most clearly. At the end of our hour together I am at peace. Scott Magelssen
I go to Adoration because one hour of adoration followed by an Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be releases a soul from Purgatory. I give these hours to Our Blessed Mother who loves them and uses them for poor souls. Paul Cranley
Why do I go to Adoration? Hmm, I can’t imagine “not” going. It’s my “Centering”. Centering: “framing used to support an arch or dome while it’s still under construction.” I think I’m still under construction. I’ve been sitting the same hour for close to 20 years and it’s THE BEST hour of my week. Lyn Stefans
I go to Adoration because it is a safe and quiet place for me to pour my heart to Jesus, in remembrance of when he told the disciplines why they couldn't watch and pray with Him. Adaora Ifeanyi
I go to Adoration because I feel that I am closer to God during that hour that He can see and hear all my weakness and help me to be a better person and the most important of all is how my faith is today's. Love every second I spent with Him!! Jesus, I Trust in You!!! Lourdes Haget
I go to adoration to spend time alone with Jesus. This is the time I can poor my heart out in the solitude of the sanctuary. The time I released my hardship, share my happiness and sadness to my Lord. Claudia Frazee
I go to adoration because even after a long day of work or a day of disappointments going into His living presence at the middle of the night fills me with hope and strength. Cindu Kunthara
I go to Adoration, out of love for our Savior Jesus Christ. His Passion is always in the forefront of my mind and understanding what He really sacrificed for us, it's hard to imagine not giving back one hour a week in thanksgiving, repentance, and hope in the quite direct contact with Him. We are not perfect creatures and we need to wrap ourselves in Jesus during our time with Him in Adoration and meditate on how much He loves us and how we can better love and serve him! Leigh Easter
In Matthew 26:40, Jesus prays at Gethsemane as He faces His imminent crucifixion. He wants his friends, the apostles, to support Him in prayer, but too exhausted, they cannot stay awake. Jesus tells them, “Were you unable to keep watch with Me for one hour? This touches me deeply every Holy Week. I know I would’ve fallen asleep, too, and I want to take my weakness to Jesus at least one hour a week to love and adore Him in His most precious gift to us, The Eucharist. When I go to the Divine Mercy Chapel, I feel like I’m coming home to a place where I’m loved and received for who I am and can freely pour out my prayers and requests. Jesus, His Holy Mother, St. Joseph, St. Faustina, and the angels and saints embrace and love me. Each time I leave with my spirit whole. I am so grateful for our chapel. Amen. Iris Gutierrez
I go to Adoration because I enjoy having special time with Jesus. I feel close to Him. I can thank Him, glorify Him, and petition Him for my personal intentions. I love the music and feeling of community at Mass, but I feel like I can hear Him easier in the peace and stillness the chapel provides. Plus, I like the idea I am keeping Him company! Leslye Henderson
Adoration is a special time with the Lord to reveal His mysteries about your life. Deep meditation and listening spiritual ears are vital to communicate with God and to practice your meditative skills and enjoy His presence Emenike Agbin
I go to adoration because it gives me peace of mind and body. I feel I can get away from daily interruptions and just talk to God. I go to Adoration because my weekly evening time slot is a peaceful and reflective way to end my day. Just me and Jesus, face to face, in the silence of the chapel. Glen Guidry
I believe in the REAL PRESENCE 0f Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. I experience surreal Peace in the silence of the hour. I am responding to Jesus’ request, “Can you not watch one hour with me?” I go to Adoration to honor my commitment to our Adoration Ministry offered here at St. Laurence. Tom Pena
I got to Adoration to meet my Lord Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. I also go to Adoration to spend some quality times with Jesus and drop off all my worries to my Lord. Neville Fotso
I go to Adoration because Jesus sent an angel who invited me to be with Him. During my childhood, I only experienced Adoration during special celebrations. All I knew to do was pray while the monstrance was on the altar and when the priest “paraded” around the church with it. It was a symbol that didn’t mean much to me. When I moved to Sugar Land as a newlywed with my husband, I got to know a fellow Catholic neighbor really well. She was the angel who taught me about the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and told me to go to the chapel. I have been a
committed adorer for 22 years, and I praise Jesus and our Father for sending me their message through Remi Aranzamendez, a true angel and servant of God. Sandi Brunello
My Holy Hour each week is a priceless blessing and gift in my life. I sit before Jesus under the appearance of the Blessed Sacrament and trust through faith that He is truly present! As I pray, I am overcome with joy and humility at the realization that, despite my unworthiness, Jesus still calls me to be with Him. I always leave the Chapel with a sense of incredible peace and tranquility. I am so thankful that St. Laurence Parish offers us this beautiful opportunity. Melanie Hartshorn
I go to Adoration because there I can clear my head, open my heart, and be with Jesus as a friend who knows and loves me beyond comprehension. Kathryn Green
I go to adoration "to be at Jesus’ feet" like Mary Magdalene. Alicia Verduzco

I go to adoration because God is waiting for us to adore , bless, glorify, and love. I go to adoration to bow before Him saying thank you for your grace and mercy. I go to adoration to say I love Jesus. I go to adoration to listen to Him being quiet in my heart and in my soul. Angela Espinoza
I go to adoration because I need God’s grace. I converse with God in Adoration (although not out loud). Sometimes I do most of the talking. Sometimes I do more listening. I sometimes just sit quietly with Jesus so he’s not alone. Sometimes I need inspiration and I bring a pad of paper and write. Other times, I fill the hour completely with prayer. And sometimes, I fall asleep in His peaceful presence. It’s my time to be with God and develop our friendship. Mark Coppedge
I go to Adoration because He is real. He has loved us and deserves our love in return. There is nothing he needs or cannot have except our choice to love Him. Adoration is a start for me to know Him - so I may love Him. Dave McCoy
I go to Adoration because I want to be with Jesus in His true presence. I always remember the scripture from Matthew 26:40, "could ye not watch with me for one hour?" - and feel that Jesus calls me to spend time with Him (I consider it a "date" with Jesus). Being in His presence brings me joy - it is a real treat to take time out of my busy schedule to sit and visit with my Lord and Savior. I like to pray, as well as simply be silent - I can hear the Lord better in the silence. I have experienced incredible graces from spending time with Jesus, from being filled with love and peace that surpasses understanding, to being inspired with incredible ideas for ministry, as well as answers for my life and answered prayers for others. I wish I could visit every day like I use to, but go as often as possible, as time with Jesus is the most important thing in this world to me, especially now in these increasingly challenging times. I feel that spending time with Jesus also helps me to be true to myself, while growing in gentleness and holiness (need all the grace I can get). Victoria Caliendo
I go to adoration because of Matthew 26:40
'When He returned to his disciples he found them asleep. He said to Peter, "So you could not keep watch with me for one hour?" With all the rush of daily living I find quiet time with the Lord to:
P - Praise the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
R - Repent for areas in my life that I stumble and Request wisdom and strength to change
A - Ask in prayer for those who need His help
Y - thank-YOU for all the blessings you have bestowed on us - I actually name all that come to mind and smile! Lynnette Mazur
I go to Adoration to worship our Lord Jesus face to face. I believe He is in the Blessed Sacrament, and I make use of this time to keep Him company and open my heart to Him, and give it to Him for healing, strengthening, and to obtain His Peace and blessings. Paolo Cuello Penaloza
I go to Adoration to talk to and listen to Our Lord Jesus without distractions, and to take the time to find my peace in Him even when things are difficult. Rose Cuello Penaloza
When I first started to go to the Adoration, I had no idea what I was supposed to do. I am a convert to Catholicism and still learning every day in my journey. But I was drawn to be in the chapel and to sit in silence resting. Many days, I fell asleep amid my rosary prayers. I felt guilty to fall asleep, but I also felt peace in my heart. I knew I had to go back to the chapel for something else. Then , I started to attend adoration and offered up my prayer intentions, many of my prayer’s devotions….but I still feel something Is not right. I started to notice there were some days where I felt pure joy in my heart just to be there. Those moments were the time where my heart was just thanking Jesus for His Sacrifice and thanking God for His Mercy. The one hour of Adoration feels too short for me now . I spend the precious time praying for the Holy Hour of Reparation or just to be with Jesus as a thanksgiving for all the blessings received. Anne Marie Dang
In today’s Gospel reading (Mark Ch 8) Jesus “took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village.” And this is how I feel each time I enter the adoration chapel - I am escaping the chaos of the world with Jesus who is healing me, away from it all. Whether it is 5 minutes before picking up my children from preschool or an hour as a substitute, a visit to the chapel is the most refreshing part of my day. I used to wonder what I would even do for an hour in the adoration chapel, but now it seems an hour is barely enough time before I am called to take the healing and peace of Christ out into the world. Lauren Schmidt
I go to Adoration to slow down and spend some time with Jesus. Yes, I go to Mass and yes, I pray at home- but, going to Adoration is special. Maddy Petitjean
I go to Adoration because He called me. Fran Magelssen
