Fr. Stephen Braun

In 1986, founding parishioners Ted & Jane Braun brought their son to be baptized at St. Laurence, which at that time met at the Offices at Sweetwater. On May 26th of this year, their son, Fr. Stephen Braun, FSSP, was ordained to the priesthood at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha. Fr. Braun is a part of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP) which celebrates Mass in the “Extraordinary Form” of the Roman Rite (Traditional Latin). He is a graduate of the University of Texas and entered Our Lady of Guadalupe Seminary in Nebraska in 2009. Following his ordination, Fr. Braun came home to Texas to celebrate a series of first Masses at parishes that offer Mass in the Extraordinary Form. Today, you may reach Fr.
