A Lenten Introduction to Christian Meditation
6 Thursdays 7:00-8:15pm
BEGINNING FEBRUARY 15
St. Anne Room, Ave Maria Center
All ages welcome
What is as old as Christianity, brings joy and peace to those who practice it, and is the “best kept secret” in the Church today?
The answer is Christian Meditation.
In an age of rush and noise it is essential that we find time to be still and quiet.
“Be still and know that I am God”, says the Psalmist. In this prayer of silence called Christian Meditation we find God who
dwells within our heart. And in finding Him we find also our true selves, and thus are renewed. Christian Meditation is
the natural progression of our prayer life towards a deeper experience of God.
When: Thursdays in March from 7:00 to 8:15 pm, beginning Feb 15 and ending Mar 28 (we will not meet Mar 14, due to spring break)
Where: Ave Maria Center - St. Anne Room
You do not need to attend all sessions to benefit from this course. No experience is necessary.

“The all-important aim in Christian Meditation is to allow God’s mysterious presence within us
to become more and more not only reality, but the reality which gives meaning, shape and purpose
to everything we are…” John Main OSB
