Welcome to the St. Laurence Catholic Library staffed by Mrs. Mary Eberle and Mrs. Kate Cassapo. We open daily from 7:45am to 2:55pm. We welcome parents to use our library at any time.
Grades Kindergarten through fourth grade come weekly for a short library skills lesson and are then able to checkout books. Middle School comes every two weeks unless there is a schedule change. Students can renew books as needed but are responsible for fines if the book has exceeded the five days grace period (See Handbook for further fine information). The Library welcomes students on passes to do research using our database subscriptions or to check out new books.
Our reading program consists of the Accelerated Reader Program that is optional for students. Grades third through fifth can participate in the Texas Bluebonnet Program by reading 20 titles from the state list. Five titles from the list are read in library by January. Students receive a tag when reaching a goal of 10, 15 or 20 books from the list. We celebrate in May with an ice cream party for all who attain their goal of reading all 20 books.
We are always seeking volunteers to help in the library, please contact Mrs. Mary Eberle at meberle@stlaurence.org.
