Welcome and thank you for visiting this site. As we begin an exciting new school year at St. Laurence, we look forward to working with all the parents and teachers to further the development of our younger children in the early childhood and elementary grades. We truly believe that the trinity relationship of parent, child and educator is essential to building a strong foundation and educating the whole child, body, mind and spirit.
This idea of a foundation for learning is reflected in our theme this year of “Christ is the Key to SLCS”. This phrase relates so well to the understanding of how a strong education in the early formative years serves as an important “key” in unlocking future potential. Just as Jesus tells the story of the house that stands firm on solid rock, we strive to build upon a foundation of Catholic values and a solid curriculum that both challenges and allows for individual strengths and success.
We believe that every child has potential and should be encouraged to learn in a positive and nurturing environment with the best Catholic education we can provide. Our teachers and parents contribute greatly to the overall strength of our school and provide spiritual role models. Community service and family involvement, as well as, academics, arts, technology and athletics are strongly encouraged to help our students develop intellectual and social skills which enable them to contribute positively to society.
