"In You All Find Their Home"

On behalf of Fr. Tom, Fr. Jaison, and our entire parish family, I extend a warm welcome to those new and visiting our parish for the first time.  I encourage you to take the time to browse this website to learn more about us.

A vibrant Catholic community of over 6,900 families based in Sugar Land, Texas, we are a people centered in the love of Christ that live to glorify God in all we do.  Join us at one of our five Sunday Masses (plus Saturday evening Mass), plus we offer Mass and the Sacrament of Reconciliation daily.  Please check the schedule at the top of this page for a time that is most convenient for you.  Our Chapel of the Divine Mercy, located near our parish school, offers perpetual adoration.  Please visit this beautiful little chapel and find peace in the presence of Jesus.
We have an outstanding Religious Education department that offers programs, classes and events for parishioners of every age and at every stage of spiritual formation.  Our parish school is the largest in the archdiocese, serving 720 students in PreK4 through Grade 8.  Our Weekday Children’s Program is an early childhood ministry serving children 6 weeks to 5 years old.
We serve those in need through our active Social Concerns Ministry.  Plus, we have over 80 ministries and groups here at St. Laurence, each contributing to the vibrancy and spirituality of our faith community.  Find one or more that appeals to your talents and interests and get involved!  On this site, you can get details and contact information for just about every ministry.
I have chosen for this year’s theme at St. Laurence:  ‘In you all find their home,’ from Psalm 87:7.  I have long desired that St. Laurence, as well as the entire Catholic Church, be a refuge, a hiding place, a safe harbor where God’s faithful people can be at home, free to rejoice in who we are.
We come to Jesus for grace upon grace, gift upon gift, spiritual benefit upon spiritual benefit, love in place of love.  And it is all there for us.  Keep coming, my people, it is all here for you.
      Your brother in Christ,
      Fr. Drew Wood, Pastor
